Why should we learn the Quran?

Al-Quran is the light to bring the nation immersed in darkness to the true light. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Surely there has come to you from Allah a light and a clear Book. Through it, Allah guides those who follow His pleasure, and by His permission, He brings them out of darkness into light. And He guides them to the Straight Path.

Different businesses have the potential for both profit and loss. But there is no loss without gain. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
Those who recite the Book of Allah, establish the prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them in secret and in public, these are the things they can hope for.
Which will never be damaged. Because Allah will repay them in full for their deeds and will give them more out of His grace. He is Forgiving and Merciful. [Surah Fatir 29-30]

Also, the reader of the Qur’an gets a reward for every letter. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said about the Importance of reading the Quran: Whoever recites a letter of the Qur’an is given a virtue. Each virtue is equal to ten virtues. I am not saying that alif-lam-meem is a letter. Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter, and Meem is a letter. “[Sunan at-Tirmidhi: 2910]
At the same time, the students and teachers of the Qur’an are called the best people. Excellence in this world and the hereafter can be achieved through teaching the Qur’an. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said in a hadeeth narrated from ‘Uthmaan (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the best of you is the one who teaches the Qur’an himself and teaches others. On the Day of Resurrection, the Qur’an will be recommended for the reciter which is the most Importance of reading the Quran. This is a matter of great fortune. In a hadith narrated from Abu Umamah Radiyallahu Anhu, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, “Recite the Qur’an, because the Qur’an will recommend to the reciter on the Day of Resurrection. Why do you teach Quran?
The number one element and means of acquiring Islamic knowledge is the Qur’an. To put it more clearly, the Qur’an is the only source of all knowledge.
The reasons for learning the Quran are described below.
First: Quran education is obligatory
Every Muslim should know how you can start reading the Quran. He who claims to be a Muslim must learn the Qur’an. Learning the Qur’an is so important that Allah has made it obligatory to teach the Qur’an. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): Read in the name of your Lord Who created.
There can be no neglect in the teaching of the Qur’an. Ibn Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) instructed the ummah to learn the Qur’an and said, “Learn the Qur’an and recite it” [Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah: 6562].
Second: It is necessary to learn the Qur’an in order to perform Salah
Allah has made it obligatory for the believing people to pray five times a day. Salah is not performed without recitation of the Qur’an. You also have to learn the Qur’an to perform the prayer. The Qur’an says, “So read from the Qur’an as easily as you can” [Surah Al-Muzammil: 20].
In this regard, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, “Whoever does not recite Surah al-Faatihah, his prayer will not be performed. [Sahih Bukhari: 656]
What is the harm of not teaching the Quran?
If you do not learn the Qur’an, you will have to fall into many losses. That will be a loss both in this world and in the Hereafter. Below is a discussion of two deadly disadvantages of not learning the Qur’an.
One: The Prophet will complain about not learning the Qur’an
We know that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, will seek intercession for the Ummah with the permission of Allah in the terrible situation of the Resurrection.
But those who have not learned the Qur’an, have not fulfilled the rights of the Qur’an, on that day the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) will bring charges against them in the court of Allaah.
It has been mentioned in the Qur’an, and the Messenger will say, “O my Lord, surely my people have rejected this Qur’an.” [Surah Al-Furqan-30]
Ibn Kathir said that not reading the Quran, not acting according to it, and not taking guidance from it, all are like abandoning the Qur’an.
Two: Anyone who does not know the Qur’an will become blind on the Day of Resurrection
How unfortunate is he who has turned away from the teachings of the Qur’an? It has been mentioned in the Qur’an, that whoever turns away from my Qur’an, his life will be shortened and I will raise him blind on the Day of Resurrection. Start reading the Virtues of reading Quran now
